At the end of this activity, learners will be able to:

• Understand and interpret ongoing progress and research regarding islet cell replacement to treat type 1 diabetes.
• Recognize, diagnose and manage common skin problems in people with diabetes.
• Identify and integrate novel management approaches for type 1 diabetes.
• Use information from continuous glucose monitoring systems to optimize of diabetes care.
• Incorporate simple approaches to educate and reassure people with a new diagnosis of diabetes.
• Develop a language and approach to type 2 diabetes remission.
