Join us for this continuing professional development activity intended to provide a multidisciplinary forum for practical updates in the practice of critical care. After an afternoon of learning, network with collogues over dinner with a winter holiday flare!
Target Audience
Clinicians and Trainees from Acute Care Areas, including Community ICUs, Academic ICUs, Emergency Rooms and Hospitals, Acute Care Specialists and Trainees, Family Physicians, Critical Care RNs, Respiratory Therapists, and Other Critical Care Professionals.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this activity, learners will be able to:
- Apply a practical approach to the diagnosis and management of common problems encountered in the critical care setting.
- Integrate updates in evidence-based practice to enhance patient care.
- Identify recent advances and controversies in critical care medicine.
Accreditation Statements
McMaster University, Continuing Professional Development Program (CPD) is fully accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Continuing Medical Education (CACME) to provide CFPC Mainpro+ and RCPSC Maintenance of Certification (MOC) study credits for Continuing Medical Education.
This one-credit-per-hour Group-Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by the McMaster University Continuing Professional Development Program for up to 4.0 Mainpro+ credits.
This activity is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by McMaster University Continuing Professional Development Program. You may claim a maximum of 4.0 MOC Section 1 hours (credits are automatically calculated).
Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert Royal College MOC credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
