If you require accommodation for either a virtual or in-person program, please email or call us to make the appropriate arrangements.

As the registrant, your in-person activity package may include nutritional breaks and/or meals (refer to the program agenda). Therefore, your activity lanyard must be worn throughout the day. If a pre-approved guest accompanies you to the activity, their meals are at their own cost and will be billed directly if applicable.

The University reserves the right to cancel a course due to insufficient registration or any circumstances that are beyond our control. Cancellations received 14 days prior to the date of the session will be refunded less a 25% administrative fee to a maximum of $50.00. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after this date.

A written acknowledgement of your registration will be sent prior to the program. Receipts are emailed at the time of registration, and an additional email will be sent after the activity, confirming your certificate of attendance is ready to download or print. Your registration is not complete unless a confirmation is received. If you have not received a confirmation within seven days of registration, please contact the CPD office.

Accommodations may be available for those with dietary needs for an in-person program. Contact the event coordinator for details.

Keeping with accreditation requirements and the National Standard for Support, McMaster University, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requires all speakers, planning committee members, moderators, facilitators and authors participating in this activity to disclose all relationships with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations over the previous two years. The disclosure must be done in print, verbally, and in writing on a slide prior to the speaker’s presentation.

The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) office hereby assumes no liability for any claims, personal injury, or damage:

  • To any individual participating in a CPD program.
  • That may result from the use of technologies, programs, products and/or services during a CPD prgram.
  • That may arise out of or during a CPD program.

Meal packages for guests at an in-person program may be available for purchase. Contact the event coordinator for more information.

The Adobe Acrobat PDF slide presentations will be accessible for six months following the CPD program, subject to approval from the speaker. To access these presentations, you will need a link and password provided via email from the CPD office.

If you require personal support at an in-person program, the health aid provider must register in advance at the general public rate.

Candid photos will be taken at in-person programs. Your in-person registration implies your permission for these photos to be used for future promotional material. Individuals in photographs will not be identified. Please visit the registration desk during the activity with any concerns.

Recorded virtual CPD programs will be accessible to participants for a period of 6 months, contingent upon the speaker’s approval. Please be aware that only attendees who log in or actively participate in the virtual program will qualify to receive a certificate of attendance for CME credits. *Not all virtual programs are recorded.
