Learning Objectives

At the end of this activity, the learners will be able to:

• Demonstrate an understanding of contemporary issues in elderly healthcare and caregiving.
• Describe strategies for fostering resilience and self-renewal in both elderly patients and their caregivers.
• Integrate trauma-informed care principles into their practice when caring for elderly patients.
• Summarize new guidelines on osteoporosis and their implications for elderly patient management.
• Describe the role of immunization and effectively communicate to patients and caregivers.
• Implement strategies to improve primary care experiences and facilitate referrals for elderly patients.
